Hello, and welcome. Writing letters to Santa is a childhood memory for so many children, and it’s just so magical. That’s the feeling I wanted to capture in this little scene. I used a few different stamp sets, but the main set was Sincerely Yours by Mama Elephant.
I like how this came together. I was initally torn between a white background, verses golden. Although I actually like the cleaner white I decided it was just too much white space for this scene.
Here is the comparison of the white background.
I started by stamping out my images with Momento Black (Copic friendly) ink.
I stamped quite a few extras incase I want more for future cards. I coloured with assorted Copic using the images I knew I would use for this card.
I was happy with the fire colour choices. I think it turned out pretty well, and have made a note of the colours for next time.
I used a die set to create the floor, and wall effect. Then coloured the "wood" with Copics trying to keep it a grainy look.
There is a defiantly a warm, cozy, magical feel of writing letters to Santa in this card. And I hope you are enjoying the magic of the season as well!
Until next time,
Jess
